Maitland, NSW 2323, is a city in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW, on the Hunter River, 170km drive to Sydney, 35km to Newcastle
*this beautiful part of the upper Hunter Valley is a prime spot for people moving out of Sydney
*the practice is in a shopping mall, near a pharmacy, with hospital 5km away

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • GP owned, 2 GP practice, looking for a third GP, due to very high patient demand
  • DWS, densely populated with significant population growth
  • The team includes: Nurse, Practice Nurse, Chronic Disease Nurse, Care Plan Nurse, Onsite Pathology, Dietitian, Psychologist, Podiatrist, Dietician
  • Patients include a combination of young families, nearby retirement homes, growing suburbs, aged population with high level of chronic disease
  • This is a mixed billing practice, 40% of billing is private
  • You will typically see 30-35 patients per day
  • Earn 70%, or $150 /hr
  • Based on current figures, you can reasonably expect to earn $400k per annum
  • The practice has AGPAL accreditation and uses Best Practice software
  • Practice open hours are: Monday to Friday 8 to 6 pm, Saturday 10 to 4 pm, closed on Sundays
  • You are offered flexibility in hours, possibly work every 3rd Saturday
  • its expected that a contract of 2 years will be offered, this length can be negotiable
